Adventure
Hollow Lantern
★★★★★ 4.6
Hollow Lantern is a quiet adventure game, the kind you play with headphones in a dark room. You explore an abandoned lighthouse, tap to examine things, and piece together what happened to the keeper. The puzzles are environmental and fair, never the moon-logic kind that sends you to a walkthrough.
The atmosphere does the heavy lifting. Rain against glass, a creaking stair, a music box that plays one bar too many. I finished it in about four hours and thought about it for days after.
It's short, offline, and complete, no episodes to wait for. If you want a story that actually ends, this is a lovely couple of evenings.
